Database
Build application backends with typed tables, app-scoped records, composable queries, relationships, aggregations, and search. Use TaruviBase Console while designing and operating data, then connect your application through an SDK, REST, or Refine.
How Database is organized#
Every table belongs to one app. The site URL establishes the tenant, the app slug selects the application, and the table name selects the data resource.
A table's schema defines its fields, primary key, constraints, and foreign keys. Records follow that schema, and every request stays within the selected site, app, and table.
What you can build#
| Capability | What it gives you | Start here |
|---|---|---|
| Typed application data | Tables with validated fields, primary keys, constraints, and foreign keys | Tables and schemas |
| Record workflows | Create, read, update, and delete individual records or explicit batches, and upsert one record by primary key | Work with records |
| Precise queries | Filters, logical groups, stable sorting, pagination, field selection, and counts | Query records |
| Relationships | One-to-many and many-to-many models with explicit, scoped reads | Model relationships |
| Aggregations | Counts, grouped summaries, aggregate functions, and group filters | Aggregate records |
| Search | Full-text, vector, and hybrid retrieval across indexed data | Search data |
| Hierarchies and networks | Parent-child trees, DAGs, and typed connections built from ordinary records | Build hierarchies and graphs |
| Data movement | Reviewable imports and exports with stable ordering, checkpoints, and reconciliation | Import and export |
| Production operation | Access controls, bounded requests, retries, schema changes, and troubleshooting | Security and limits |
Choose an interface#
| Interface | Best for | Setup |
|---|---|---|
| TaruviBase Console | Inspecting tables, browsing records, and making one-off changes | Console guide |
| JavaScript SDK | Browser and server applications written in JavaScript | JavaScript SDK |
| Python SDK | Services, jobs, scripts, and notebooks | Python SDK |
| REST API | Protocol-level integrations and custom runtimes | Choose direct HTTP |
| Refine provider | Refine 5 list, detail, form, and filter views | Refine guide |
Each task guide shows the interfaces available for that workflow. The interface reference provides the complete support matrix.
Start building#
- Create your first task if you have not yet connected an application to TaruviBase.
- Read, update, and delete that task.
- Learn how tables, schemas, and records fit together.
- Add queries, relationships, and aggregations as your data model grows.
- Review security, authorization, and limits before connecting production traffic.
